Clinical trials in breast cancer research

The TransBCR collaboration currently has four studies open to recruitment:

  • BRCA-D Pilot: A pilot study evaluating a new breast cancer prevention strategy for BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutation carriers

  • BRCA-P: An international, randomised, controlled trial evaluating denosumab as a breast cancer prevention strategy for women with a BRCA1 mutation

  • PALVEN: An early phase study of venetoclax (ABT-199) in combination with palbociclib and letrozole in metastatic oestrogen receptor positive breast cancer

  • WINPRO: A window of opportunity study of endocrine therapy with or without progesterone in postmenopausal women with early stage hormone receptor-positive breast cancer.
